Bantry Rowing Club is based at Reendonegan Lake just on the outskirts of town.
Meeting regularly for training, competitions or hosting regattas both on the lake and in Bantry Bay, it is a very popular local club and new members are always welcome.
Founded in 1963, Bantry Rowing Club is a long established amateur sports rowing club with a great heritage. Its a big part of the community and participates in and hosts regattas and competitive rowing events. With a continuing tradition of river rowing and offshore rowing the club for 60 years, it enjoys a diversity of competition and enjoyment. With rowing events for junior, senior and masters there is great camaraderie and community connection.

Bantry Rowing Club’s Sadhbh Ní Laoghaire took two gold medals at the 2024 Home International Rowing Regatta in Strathclyde Park in Scotland, Saturday, July 26th.
Bantry crew off to the US to take on Atlantic Challenge July 20th to 29th.
Bantry Rowing Club was delighted to host its Sprint Regatta on June 1st 2024. Having had to cancel due to bad weather in April, as luck would have it we had fantastic sunshine, blue skies and a marvelous Regatta. Thanks to all who attended.
April 23rd 2023: Bantry Rowing Club want to thank Rosscarbery Rowing Club for a fantastic HOR on Saturday. A well organised event was helped with great weather. Our athletes had a great time and put in some solid racing.
March 5th 2023: A great day had by all of our underage crews who travelled to Cork Head of the River yeaterday. It was very cold but ideal conditions otherwise. Well done all!
